Sister Cities - Connect
Many of your towns and cities have affiliations with "sister cities", cities in other countries where there is everything from an exchange of business ideas to an exchange of students. Usually these are administered through the office of the Mayor. Call that office and tell them that you would like to establish a dialogue with people your age in one of their sister cities and ask them to arrange it or offer yourself to do so if they give you the information.
Sponsor as many educational events in your schools, at your work or in your community as you can.
